Tutorials on How to Delegate

Hello. This is a how-to guide on getting started on delegating with us as your Delegation Rewards Provider. We’ll be using the Bifrost Wallet app as our example which is a free app on the Android Play Store. Setting up the app is not in the scope of this tutorial so please be sure to set it up and transfer any tokens you want to start delegating for your rewards before starting this guide.

Step 1

First you need to log into the Bifrost Wallet app. Make sure to have transferred your tokens beforehand to your Bifrost Wallet.

You have to go to your Songbird tokens and wrap your chosen amount of tokens.

Once you have chosen the desired amount (I have put 10 tokens as an example).

Then press continue and confirm. Please take note some network fees may apply.

You can now go to your main screen and see your wrapped Songbird tokens in your wallet.

Next it’s time to delegate. In order to delegate with us you need a Web3 capable app or browser. Luckily Bifrost Wallet has a Web3 browser built in! Press the icon with 4 boxes at the bottom. At the top input the URL portal.flare.network

Step 7

You will see the Flare Portal home page where you can manage your tokens and delegate. Start by pressing the “Connect to Wallet” in the top right.

Press Bifrost Wallet.

You’ll see a prompt pop up to choose a network. If the Songbird Network doesn’t appear in the box press the “right arrow” to change it and you’ll see a list of options.

If you pressed the “Right Arrow” you’ll see a list of networks. Type or press the Songbird Network.

You’ll then see a prompt to switch to the “Flare Network”, go ahead and hit “Switch” to continue.

Step 12

Once you’ve switched over you’ll see the Flare network icon in the top right corner. Click this icon to access your wallet that contains your Songbird and Wrapped Songbird tokens.

Step 13

If done correctly you should be now seeing the Songbird network icon in the top right. As well as the balance of your Songbird and Wrapped Songbird.

Step 14

Scroll down to the bottom and you should see a section called “FTSO provider delegations”. Hit the “Delegate” button to choose your delegation options.

Step 15

Next input the address of your chosen Delegation Service Provider. I’ve put our address to our node as an example which is 0xB0840104E84DA02254B043Fd4C205415E759Bf1E.

Step 16

You will now be asked what percentage of all your Wrapped Songbird will you be delegating between one or two Delegation Service Providers. You can choose up to two Delegation Service Providers.

Step 17

Once Submitted you should see the provider on your FTSO wallet page. Congratulations! You’re now delegating to our network! Instructions on how to claim your rewards will be in the next tutorial.
