Infrastructure Update
29 Jul 2026
We've rolled out a significant upgrade to XTerraMetrics' data aggregation pipeline. Following several weeks of in-house diagnostic telemetry and analysis, we identified and eliminated a latency bottleneck affecting part of our market data coverage — our price discovery in the affected segment now operates on data that is orders of magnitude fresher than before. The upgrade was validated through our standard multi-stage testing process and deployed with zero interruption to our FTSO submissions. Early production metrics confirm the improvement, and we expect it to translate into measurably stronger oracle accuracy over the coming weeks. This is part of our ongoing measurement-driven program of provider improvements — each change is benchmarked against network consensus before being made permanent. More to come.
Keeping the lights on — and getting leaner
17 Jul 2026
Over the past month we’ve been heads-down on the parts of the stack you don’t see day to day: keeping our Songbird and FDC services aligned with network upgrades, hardening how we run our nodes, and cleaning up a few operational rough edges that only show up when something in the wider network shifts. There’s been the usual round of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance that comes with running production infrastructure — short windows where we had to catch up, rebuild, or re-point services so everything stayed in sync. None of that changes how you delegate; it’s the quiet work that keeps reward submissions and attestations reliable when the network moves underneath us. We’re also continuing the same efficiency focus we mentioned earlier: fewer moving parts where we can, clearer runbooks, and a setup that’s easier to keep healthy without oversized overhead. That discipline is how we protect uptime and keep fees competitive for the long run. You don’t need to do anything differently. If you noticed a brief dip in availability around some of those windows, that should already be behind us — and we’re monitoring closely as things settle. As always, thank you for trusting us with your delegation. We’ll share more when there’s something meaningful for the community; until then, we’re focused on staying steady, efficient, and ready for whatever the next network upgrade brings. — The XTerraMetrics team
Community update
4 Jun 2026
We’ve been working on how we run things behind the scenes — not changing what you see day to day, but making our operations leaner over time. Over the past while we’ve been consolidating how our core services are hosted, trimming redundant capacity, and tightening the day-to-day footprint of what we need to keep everything running smoothly. None of that changes your experience on the surface; it’s the kind of work that only shows up in the background, in lower bills and a setup that’s easier to maintain as we grow. That discipline matters. Infrastructure and operations are a real line item for any provider, and we’d rather invest in efficiency than pass avoidable overhead on to delegators. It’s a big part of why we can keep our fees lower than many other providers in the space — not because we cut corners on service, but because we’re deliberate about how we run the shop. This isn’t a one-off project. We’re always looking for sensible ways to do more with less: smarter hosting choices, less waste, and a stack that doesn’t need to be oversized to stay reliable. When we find improvements, we fold them in quietly and keep moving. You shouldn’t need to do anything different on your side, and we don’t plan to make a habit of announcing every internal tweak. We’re grateful to everyone who’s been with us. Your trust is what makes it worth doing this carefully and sustainably. We’ll post again when there’s something meaningful to share for the community; until then, consider this a small note that we’re focused on staying efficient so we can keep offering competitive pricing for the long run. Thank you for being part of the community. — The XTerraMetrics team
Enhancing Algorithms for Increased Success Rates Amid Upcoming Hardware Upgrade
24 Apr 2026
Our team has been working hard to improve the algorithms that power our value submissions. These improvements have already led to a noticeable increase in our success rate, which benefits everyone relying on our system. To support this progress, we are preparing for a hardware upgrade scheduled for Sunday, April 26th. This upgrade will involve a short outage lasting about three hours as we install the latest enterprise-grade equipment. This post explains what these changes mean, why they matter, and how they will improve your experience. Why Algorithm Improvements Matter Algorithms are the core of how we process and evaluate value submissions. When these algorithms work better, they can provide more accurate results, reduce errors, and speed up processing times. Over the past months, our development team has focused on refining these algorithms by: Enhancing data analysis techniques to better understand submission patterns Reducing false positives and negatives in value assessments Improving the adaptability of algorithms to handle diverse submission types These changes have already resulted in a significant increase in success rates. For example, submissions that previously had a 10% success rate now see closer to 25% success rate. This means more rewards for you! What the Hardware Upgrade Means To support these algorithm improvements, we need hardware that can handle increased processing demands. The current infrastructure, while reliable, limits how much we can scale and improve. The upcoming upgrade will replace older servers and storage devices with newer, faster, and more efficient enterprise hardware. This upgrade will: Increase processing speed, reducing wait times for submissions Improve system stability and reduce downtime in the long term Provide better support for future algorithm enhancements The upgrade requires a planned outage of three hours on Sunday, April 26th. What to Expect During the Outage We understand that any downtime can be inconvenient. Here’s what you need to know to prepare: The outage will last approximately three hours. submissions will continue to occur but the avaialablity may reduce to 90% in some 6 hour window After the upgrade, the system will resume normal operations with improved performance. We recommend planning your submissions around this outage to avoid delays. Our team will monitor the upgrade closely to minimize any unexpected issues. We will also communicate promptly if there are any changes to the schedule. Looking Ahead This hardware upgrade is just one step in our ongoing commitment to improve the platform. We will continue refining algorithms and infrastructure to deliver better results and faster service. Your feedback plays a crucial role in guiding these improvements, so please share your experiences and suggestions. Thank you for your patience and support as we make these important changes. We are confident that the upgrades will enhance your experience and provide a stronger foundation for future growth.
Server Infrastructure Upgrade Complete
28 Mar 2026
We’re excited to share that we’ve successfully completed a major upgrade to our server infrastructure, improving overall storage capacity, reliability, and performance. This enhancement allows our systems to better handle growing data demands while maintaining stability for critical services, including blockchain node operations. As a result, users can expect smoother performance, faster data access, and increased resilience as our platform continues to scale. This upgrade positions us well for future growth and ensures we can continue delivering consistent, high-quality service.
